3 Tips To Reduce Anxiety And Stress For Tests
When I was in school, I was always so stressed out about tests because I always wanted an A. I kept thinking to myself if I studied enough, had enough time to finish, or what if I miss something. I can say without a doubt that I hated taking tests! You probably feel the same way, but so many students and business professionals have anxiety and stress when they take a test. I don't want you to be stressed anymore that's why I am giving you 3 tips to beat anxiety and stress!
Stress is the worse thing when it comes to learning and recalling information. When you are taking a test, you are trying to recall information so if you are stressed.....bad news. I remember taking tests when I was stressed out and I couldn't recall some information to save my life! So let me share the 3 tips to help reduce anxiety and stress with you:
Here is a summary of the 3 tips:
1. Prepare and study for your tests ahead of time.
2. If you don't know an answer to a question, skip it and waste time on it unless you have extra time to put something down for partial credit.
3. Once you have taken a test, don't think or talk about it at all.
I recommend using these tips right away! I use these tips all the time but not for school tests. I use these tips when I do my competitions and game-shows. If I am stress during any of these, my performance and scores would suffer a lot. Even when I finished a game-show or competition, I don't think about what I messed up on or beat myself up. I have come a long way from being a mess when taking test to being a master of my stress and anxiety. You will get here too!
